Peripheral Blood Stem Cells From Unrelated Donors – Video

A new study finds filgrastim-mobilized peripheral blood stem cells convey no survival advantage over bone marrow transplants when the donor is not an HLA-identical sibling of the recipient. In an interview at the annual meeting of the American Society of Hematology, Dr. Claudio Anasetti explains why the findings could cause bone marrow transplants to be reconsidered for some patients with hematological malignancies.

LIKE, FAVORTE, rate and leave me a comment! It really helps! Saw a news story about Stem Cells. http://www.foxnews.com Basically they took skin cells, turned them into stem cells, then injected them into rats and fixed their livers. Sounds pretty cool
