Stem Cell Update from Panama 3 Years Later

I had my first stem cell treatment for Multiple Sclerosis in November 2008. After much research and education, I decided to leave the US and go to Cell Medicine in Costa Rica at the time. 3 years later the clinic has grown and consolidated their lab and facilities to Panama City.

Jonathan Thomas, CIRM governing board chair, sits down with CIRM at the World Stem Cell Summit booth to talk about what he wants all attendees to learn about CIRM at the meeting. The agency has 44 projects in 26 diseases in various stages of working toward clinical trials. He hopes meeting attendees get a sense of the breadth and scope of CIRM's funding and the progress being made in stem cell science.
